I am a South African born teacher, currently living and teaching in Sydney, Australia! I have previously taught in London, which really prepared me for life as a teacher. Most of my experience is within Pre-Kindy and Kindergarten, but who knows where's I'll land up next! My resources reflect my journey as a teacher, and adapt according to my school and year group!

A lovely book for Reception in the Autumn term as they are settling into their new schooling environment. My class really enjoyed looking at the similarities and differences between our school day and the school day in the book. Great for helping to sequence the school day and setting a visual timetable.

The Jolly Christmas Postman- 1 day only

A 1 day only lesson plan introducing the story "The Jolly Christmas Postman"- perhaps a little taster for all my other lesson plans on sale in my shop. Suitable for Reception children.

One fewer- Frogs on a log

This is a PowerPoint lesson to assist with the teaching of “one fewer”. The ideal starter activity would be to sing “5 little speckled frogs” with your class before moving onto this PowerPoint. This lesson was a huge hit with my Pre-Kindergarten class, but would also suit Kindergarten classes learning this concept for the first time.

CVC/ Initial Sound Worksheet

A sheet for the Early Years which has some animal pictures on of animals which are phonetically plausible. Beside the pictures, children can write the initial sound or the full CVC word. I have used this as a starter activity during the morning when children come into the classroom. Also great as a form of assessment when completed independently.

Combining and Separating Quantities- Part Whole Models

In line with the New K-2 curriculum is a worksheet for students to complete after learning about part-whole models. After filling in the part-whole model, write down all the addition and subtraction number sentences you can think of! This worksheet has been differentiated three ways.
