Long E Vowel Board Game Spell Quest is a board game which reinforces the Long E sound. The vowel teams included in the game are ee, ea, y, ie, ey as well as e_e. The game is broken up into four coloured sections: Green – Write the Word by looking at the picture. These cards have a QR code option (and one without QR codes) which will reveal the correct spelling once the code is scanned – making it self correcting. Blue – Use the Word in a Sentence. Orange – Draw the Word. Purple – Act the Word. Only the GREEN cards have QR codes. Drawing and Acting cards have been included to add a fun, creative element to the game. The cards still require the students to read the word and know the meaning of it in order to complete the task. A game board has also been included in this product and everything is in colour and black & white. The black & white version looks great copied onto the respective colored paper/card. An instruction card is also included. This game has been designed to co-ordinate with the other Long Vowel sound board games so that cards can be added to the packs as the sounds are covered in class – meaning the game can be adapted throughout the year. Long A Vowel Clip Cards These Long a Vowel Clip Cards can be used to practise words with Long a Vowel sounds and is the perfect center activity. Place a dot behind the correct answer in order to make these cards self-correcting. Laminating the cards will make them more durable and therefore will last longer. This set is provided in colour and black and white (which can be copied onto coloured paper if desired). These cards can be even be used for upper elementary as spelling practise. There are also some blank cards for extra pictures. A list of the words is also included, which students can paste into their workbooks and use as a reference. Students can use a clothes peg to identify which spelling is used to create the long a sound in each picture. If clothes pegs are not available, students can write with a white board marker on the laminated cards. Holes can also be punched into the cards below each letter.
