Here is a 45 page powerpoint presentation I have made which works as a complete teacher guide to unit 19 Internet of Things for the BTEC IT EXTENDED DIPLOMA LEVEL 3 The soloution is a Python application that runs on a Raspberry Pi, the program is linked to a motion sensor and a camera. When motion is detected the camera will take a photograph and email it to an attached Gmail account. The photo is also saved locally on the micro SD card. This works as an internet of things connected device. All code is included with explanations, all learning aims are included with guides for teachers. 08/02/24 - I have added a peer review form for P4. 29/02/24 - I have added a security and mitigation PPT 29/02/24 - I have added risk assessment/mitigation templates (These are the official BTEC ones that used in Unit 11 - Cyber Security exam.) However, I noticed it was good opportunity for cross curricular learning. 08/03/2024 - In 2024 Gmail removed unsupported applications from connecting to Gmail accounts, this made my code crash. I have created a workaround and included the guide here today. Everything works again! 20/03/2024 - I have added a Evaluation Template which is great for weaker learners and help them aim towards P6/D2/D3 20/03/2024 - I have added a testing table template with examples of how to complete it. 16/04/2024 I have added a Distinction completed assignment. 22/04/2024 I have added feedback and where the learner has achieved each criteria on the assessment as a seperate PDF.
