I have taught Graphics & Resistant Materials since 1997, starting in Northamptonshire, then Portsmouth and now Leicestershire. I trained as an architect originally (like many Design Technology teachers!) and I still have an eye for detail and high quality resources.

Disclaimer - I got to decide what are the greatest 100 inventions, they are my choices and I made some decisions such as omitting a steel plough and including Lego, as I know students would find one somewhat more interesting than the other! Don’t worry though - virtually every famous invention you can name IS in here. Also, some inventions have multiple inventors and dates e.g. the internal combustion engine and the lightbulb both have multiple inventors and dates and were designed over many years… Not even experts on different websites can agree. In certain cases, I have made a judgement as to who and when and you are entitled to disagree in places! Rest assured though, I diligently researched each and every invention as best as I could.
