Thinking Hats can be found in schools, businesses and a wide range of industries. I have created a set of resources for Key Stage 2 resources to use with almost any reading book.
The worksheets are not linked to any book or any particular reading scheme and can be used more than once.
These worksheets allow students to examine the same book from 6 different angles and so get a lot more from their reading experiences. These worksheets also provide a real reason to read their books carefully.
I have used Thinking Hats a lot in the classroom and have found them to really motivate students to read more. These worksheets can also be used as a useful homework worksheet resource.
I have created 4 great teaching packs for Science: Animal Skeleton Bones, Human Skeleton Bones, Teeth and Your Senses. You can download these packs, print them off and have an instant wonderful display. Alternatively, you would use them as PowerPoint presentations within a lesson to introduce or review a topic. They make excellent talking prompts for the class!
Animal Skeletons: See different examples of animal bones. How are they similar? How do they differ from each other? There are bones of fish, whales, snake and cows, to mention just a few.
Human Skeletons: Here is a nice resource pack which contains a lot of the different bones students need to learn about. The photos are fantastic.
Teeth: This includes what we need to have nice teeth and a few photos of what happens if we are not careful with our teeth. There are also some animal pictures so you can discuss animal teeth shapes.
Senses: A nice teaching pack about our 5 senses. This would make an excellent display or sorting activity.
I have decided to collect together great ESL worksheets on Australia and share them with other teachers. I really love the final outcome. I hope you do to!
This particular Australian Topic Unit is packed full of different activities and ideas for you to try. There is a 30 hour talking topic book. There are additional questions to solve in the addition worksheets about Australia, there is a whole photo pack about life in Australia and of course there are 31 different teaching activities for you to try which are connected to the Photo Flashcard pack.
Some of these resources were originally public domain. However, I have cleaned them up, removed the excessive links to the original website, added lots of new and interesting photos linked to the topics and as you can see, thrown in a lot of different extra activities on top.

I collected together 30 hours of ESL teaching resources about the topic of health, medicine and illness. It is a really great way of teaching!
The original was a free public domain document. I took this document, removed all the promotional hyperlinks and logos from every page, as well as adding colourful, interesting images to each page to give it all a more professional image. The idea is to get students talking more in their English classes.

Like the first version of 101 KS1 English Grammar SAT Revision Worksheets (https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/101-ks1-grammar-sats-revision-worksheets-11189210), it is packed with 101 printable worksheets for teaching and improving grammar skills in English. The topics are wide and varied, starting with Essential English worksheets that cover the basics, like the alphabet, days, months, and telling the time; then tenses (a lot about tenses!), then irregular verbs, question forms, word order in sentences, parts of English, uncountable nouns, and so on! If you have used the first BGB, you will know what to expect from this one. Around 25% of the worksheets in this book are closely modelled on activities in BGB 1, for example Full Stops 1 (pp.68-69).
The material starts off at beginner level, with the alphabet worksheets, then gets progressively more difficult. Only towards the end do things get “tougher”, with articles, conditionals, and phrasal verbs making their inevitable appearance! Don’t worry – all the answers and notes for use are included at the back of this book.
English teachers can use Another 101 KS1 English Grammar SAT Revision Worksheets in class, although it may be better to use the worksheets for homework and let students focus on speaking and listening and group work – producing language – in class. It is ideal for private study – i.e. homework or self-study – and also for use in online lessons. Teachers can adapt the worksheets in this book, and I would positively encourage them to treat many of the pages as templates for producing their own activities. For example, the sentence building worksheets (from p.60) would be ideal for adaptation, among many others.
I hope you enjoy learning English with Another 101 KS1 English Grammar SAT Revision Worksheets!
Remember, a good understanding of English grammar will open doors of opportunity.
Please note: This was originally marketed under the title Big Grammar Book 2. If you have bought this title, you do not need to buy this book.
Save money buy buying both my KS2 Revision Grammar books at the same time!

We’ve included resources that test grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, spelling and speaking & listening skills. A huge variety of material that we hope will be fun to use and really helpful, whether you are at school or at home. A big thank you must go to all the students who have tried and tested these resources in the classroom prior to us producing the book!

Big grammar book intermediate book 1 and The second ESL resource book. If you have bought these in the past, you do not need to buy this set again.
This is a a huge online reading bundle of resources. There is plenty to do in this amazing set of resources.
I have further edited Levels 1 to levels 4 so there are now reading questions relating to every slide. I have mixed up all the original Thinking Hat colours and done away with black and white as I had teachers who felt these were not appropriate in a primary classroom and relaunched it all as Thinking Scarves - I hope you like the changes and leave me a nice comment below!
I believe I have created the ultimate guided reading and poetry teaching resource for teachers. Along with a complete KS1 and KS2 Thinking Hats Reading teaching resource, this pack also includes 189 general reading worksheets and 36 levelled guided reading books. I also took the time to convert all the books into .ppt (old version of PowerPoint) so that as well as printing out the books, you can now show all the books directly on the interactive whiteboard, to build up whole class reading skills.
The books vary from level 1 (beginner readers) to level 5 (teenager and adult readers). The worksheets can be used for pretty much any book, so even when you have finished reading these great books, the reading worksheets will still be useful for many years to come!
The 189 reading worksheets are differentiated and some a replicated between different year groups. I am confident you will be pleased with this purchase. It would also be great for any World Book Day ideas or teaching resources. It could also be used for national poetry day or book week.
