Grammar exercises based on lyrics from 'Das Nikolauslied'. In the first exercise students must choose the correct verb, in order to re-tell the story of Santa's visit on the 6th of December. In the second exercise students must conjugate the key verbs from the story. Grammar dressed up in a bit of tinsel.

Slightly simplified version of the AS text I uploaded outlining the origins of contemporary image of Santa, and exploring the mathematical implications of his task. Interactive game containing 40 vocab items. Each time the game opens it will select ten of the 40 words at random, so it will virtually never be the same activity twice. If you use it in a computer suite each student will have effectively a different quiz. Will work on IW or PC
An unlikely dilaogue in which Bella fro Twighlight and Belletrix from Harry Potter discuss health and fitness. I've uploaded the dialogue on its own before but it is now followed by comprehension questions in English, a grammar point relating to word order after aufhoeren and anfangen and two exercises in which students must generate sentences of their own.
PPT for presentation to pupils approaching exams. Based substantially on an article, summarising extensive research conducted by Dr Tom Stafford of Sheffield University. PPT deals with (i) organisation vs cramming (ii) the value of learning from failure (iii) the need to practise (iv) processing information aids memory and (v) rest and sleep. An interview with a homeless person in Berlin, followed by questions in English and an improvisational role play. Pitched at able Year 11s but could be used with Yr 12. The text is authentic, but for a handful of edits.
Extended dialogue in which three cast members of a reality show discuss what to watch on TV and decide on a reality show. The dialogue is followed by a vocab matching exercise, a 'find the phrase exercise', a trawl of the different tenses used in the text, a manipulation exercise and a writing task
This is an extended version of a ppt I uploaded previously. It consists of a number of pictures of people, celebs and otherwise, and the pupils simply have to speculate as to how old they are.
