"Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler"-Albert Einstein. These wise words from the worl'd greatest physicist has long inspired my lesson plans, ensuring that concepts are made as simple as possible without dumbing down. All paid for lessons follow the same design, all lessons are clearly differentiated, with plenty of peer assessment and self assessment to reduce teacher workload and are fun and engaging for student and teacher alike.

Scalars and Vectors (Introduction to Mechanics)

(1)
This is a full lesson for introducing Scalars and Vectors for A-level physics, for a very mixed ability group. The lesson includes activities, worked examples, answers and differentiated learning objectives. The lesson includes two fun activities and a fully differentiated drill sheet, covering E-grade all the way to pre-university level questions for your most able students. The lesson powerpoint includes worked example answers.

maths practice for core physics (AQA formula sheet included)

(3)
This is a workbook designed for the student to take home to aid with the revision of P1 for AQA, all of the formulas are included, with a page explaining each formula, a worked example and two pages of practice for each equation. The book also includes helpful tips and covers skills such as converting watts to kilowatts.
Particles and Quantum Glossary

Particles and Quantum Glossary

(2)
This covers all the key words and new words AS students will cover in the first module of AS Physics (AQA). I will be using it for the students to fill in at the end of each lesson the words they have learnt so they can then use it for revision during the exam period. However this could be given to pupils to do over a homework (or two!) as revision.
GCSE Pressure

GCSE Pressure

(2)
A fully differentiated introduction lesson for pressure. Includes calculating pressure and an activity for applying pressure calculations to high heels, and an extended writing task.
The Vacuum Flask
physicsfairyphysicsfairy

The Vacuum Flask

(5)
A worksheet aimed at helping students to map out what they need to put in the common six mark exam question, covering all the key features of the vacuum flask, which type of transfer they prevent/reduce and key words that should be included.

Physics App of the fortnight

(1)
A series of posters displaying different FREE apps to encourage students to continue learning outside of the classroom, a mixture of revision and curriculum apps and general apps about advances in science.
Mission to Mars

Mission to Mars

(1)
This activity can be adapted easily for a wide variety of different ages and abilities. It gets the pupils to think about and/or research the pros and cons of spending billions of pounds on a mission to mars. Pupils then decide on what their view of the matter is and write a letter to the Prime Minister arguing for or against it. this activity could then lead onto a classroom debate about it.

Core Physics Extended Writing (QWC questions AQA P1)

(1)
This covers the QWC questions given by AQA for core physics over the past few years. Each question has a answer preparation section, a keywords section and a space for the students answer and a mark scheme. There is a PowerPoint with videos for most of the questions and hints on the questions to go on the board. Designed to be used by non-specialists in the run up to the physics exam. Please give any feedback on how it could be improved.

Planet's Whose who

(1)
This worksheet describes each of the 8 planets and gets pupils to work out which planet it is describing. this works well both as a revision tool for KS4 and as a reinforcing exercise for KS3 students.
GCSE Physics Equations Christmas Activity Bookmarks

GCSE Physics Equations Christmas Activity Bookmarks

(1)
I have often found that students get worried about when to use each equation. These Christmas bookmarks look at how the same property can be used in three different equations and has differentiated questions on the back to allow students to practice when to use each equation. Perfect for lessons in the run up to Christmas or even a Christmas homework sheet. The bookmarks cover equations for: Force, mass and voltage
Waves - Phase and phase difference (lesson 2)

Waves - Phase and phase difference (lesson 2)

(1)
This is the second lesson for A-level physics on waves. this lesson looks at Amplitude, wave properties and phase. The lesson covers phase in fractions, degrees and radians. A fully differentiated lesson with a fun board game to liven up the topic and a homework activity.

Specific Heat Capacity of types of Coca-cola

(0)
Is there really a difference between the many different brands of Coca-Cola? Coke zero and diet coke both have the same number of calories etc, but interestingly have different specific heat capacities. This lesson was for a high ability year 9 class who had already done a little on SHC.
Classifying Particles
