This expectation card has been designed specifically for students who are sent outside of the classroom, either to cool down or to reflect on their current disruptive behaviour. The card reminds students of the expectations of the school and on the back gives them advice on what to do next in order to get them back on task. Can be adapted to meet different school’s expectations and behaviour policies.

With the introduction of the up and coming T-Levels in 2020, schools and colleges now need to prepare our young people for the world and work more than ever before and so these sessions aim to best prepare students. Session one “Getting work ready" is to highlight a students skill set, strengths and weaknesses and what a placement will consist of to develop weaker skill sets. Session two “Finding a placement” is designed to help students approach employers and how to search for placements. Session three “Placement expectations” shows students typical attitudes and behaviours employers like to see displayed, how to dress appropriately and what to do if things go wrong.

Alongside this resource is an “Employability Skills Booklet” that allows students to track their sessions by making notes and writing down their ideas.
With all this uncertainty about school closures and lock downs coming up, I have created a 4 week activity timetable for you to do with your children (should we all be stuck inside our homes for the foreseeable future!).
As I’m sure you are all aware, keeping children entertained under these circumstances is going to be difficult so I really hope this activity timetable is useful to some of you. It’s cost friendly and I have based the majority of activities inside the home.

Students can be expected to complete one task from the menu each week and choose a different spice strength to help them practice harder questions. All questions included are from both Foundation and Higher tiers. For some of the harder questions I have attached Index extracts on separate slides. I would encourage students to try these questions without a calculator and/or show all their workings out for each question.
