This is a simple but effective tool for helping students to remember the key stages in Photosynthesis. Ideal for learners who are having difficulties transitioning from GCSE/IGCSE to A-Level/IB. You may wish to cut up the answers and provide the blank chart for students to stick them on, or simply provide the blank chart and get the students to try and fill it in. This chart covers: 1. The role of chlorophyll 2. The photolysis of water 3. The exchange of various (oxygen and carbon dioxide) 4. The role that hydrogen plays after photolysis is completed 5. Some chloroplast structure vocabulary (grana and stoma)

Periodic Table Crossword Puzzle (With Answers)

Periodic Table Crossword Puzzle (With Answers)

(0)
This is a fun (and moderately challenging) crossword puzzle that would serve as an excellent starter, plenary or in-lesson activity for any periodic table class. This crossword tests students knowledge of: Group number Names of groups (e.g. The 'Halogens' are the group 7 elements) Symbols (e.g. Ca is the symbol for calcium) Properties (e.g. Potassium has similar properties to sodium because it is in the same group) This is a lot of fun and my students loved it. If your kids have never learnt anything about the periodic table before, then you could provide the students with a periodic table to help them as they do the puzzle. In this pack you get a PPTX (which you can edit), a pdf version and a png of the puzzle itself (in case you want to project it on your interactive whiteboard for students to fill in).
Cells Worksheet with Answers

Cells Worksheet with Answers

This is a great worksheet for GCSE students and covers the basics of cell structure and function. I've included a pdf and a word doc version. It includes True/False questions, filling in the blanks, box matching and word choosing activities. Use this sheet as a quick starter, plenary or homework. Make sure you ask your kids to think of reasons behind the answers (especially the True/False questions). Get groups to write explanations for each answer to question 1 as a follow up activity (or as a good extension activity for students who finish early).

Suitable for Key Stage 3 onwards, these questions allow practice in the addition of fractions. Denominators are different, and answers can be given in mixed or classical form! Brilliant as a starter or 'chunking' activity. Will keep students busy for a while.

German: Telling the Time

(0)
This resource is fun for your students and it will really help to build time-related vocabulary (particularly when dealing the confusing 'halb' descriptor). It's up to you how you use this one. It is basically a blank clock face with some German vocabulary on it. You may want to use it to test students or give as a homework. You will have to decide on the task that you can use this resource for.

100 Awesome Online Learning Apps: For Schools and Teachers

This is my third book (published April 7th 2020). This file is a downloadable pdf. The book includes: A risk-assessment list for teachers who are involved in online teaching (contains some not-so-obvious things to be aware of) Tips for teachers when using social media A list of 100 apps teachers can use for online learning, with advice on how how each one can be used. Review on Amazon.com, April 17th 2020: 100 Awesome Online Learning Apps is actually quite an AWESOME book. The book is very timely and significant. It lists 100 different apps and divide them in four sub groups, Communication & Collaboration Creation Constructing knowledge Assessment and Feedback This helps the book easier to navigate as per your needs. The description of each app is kept crisp and to the point. The author does not bore you with unnecessary details and just sticks to recording what it offers and it’s benefits. The whole world has turned to online teaching during these crazy times and it can be very difficult to decide on which app to use for what. One app may suit best for communication while another suits best for evaluation. This book from an experienced teacher and Google Certified educator comes as a relief and helps you decide. Best thing is both students and educators can use this for their benefit. Very useful and helpful.
