A range of resources to introduce the Olympic sports. The teacher PowerPoint includes a summary slide of the disciplines and a quick quiz of 10 sports to match up (this is easy to edit).
There are 3 resources to test and reinforce knowledge of the disciplines; a crossword which is accompanied by a solution, there is also a word cloud containing the disciplines whereby the pupils translate the disciplines. Finally there is a word search containing 19 of the sports , pupils translate the sports and find the German.
This is a really good selection of resources to introduce the games. All resources are easy to print.
Match up of match reactions to the game. These phrases are from player quotes, press articles and online media reactions. Although related to the match this resource practices opinions which are key to exam success. This is easy to print or edit and the teacher presentation includes the solution.

New Specification - First examination 2018
This resource would work well for pupils or teachers when performing self-assessment, peer assessment or pupil assessment. The exam board terminology has not been edited in order for pupils to familiarise themselves with the specification criteria. There is a box containing useful web links for independent study and a summary table for marks to be recorded and strengths and targets to be recorded. It is easy to edit the PPT to suit your personal needs. The resource has been designed to be printed double sided for each tier - pupil and teacher friendly.
Pupils listen to the song “Spider Cochon” and complete a gap-fill listening challenge. This is a fun activity that can be used with all age groups and reinforces the skill of listening for key sounds and following a script. The teacher PPT clearly displays the solutions taking pupils through the song step by step. Pupils love to sing the song together and it lends itself to creative work whereby pupils can create the next verse.
Listening is often the skill pupils find most challenging and this fun activity can help to challenge barriers to learning. This would be great for a taster lesson. Pupil and teacher friendly.

15 phrases to find in the present tense. Two versions are provided, in one version the pupils find the German and in the second version the pupils translate the phrases into German and find the 15 key phrases.

Revision lesson, revision sheet and exam to assess reading. The revision sheet could also be used to support writing, speaking and listening assessments. This is suited go lower ability learners with lots of support provided. It is easy to edit and to print.
Topics covered are: name, age, birthdays, brothers and sisters, pets, school subjects, hobbies, house and home and what's in your bedroom.
Attached are two resources to improve reading and writing skills. The word cloud is an excellent way to consolidate and stretch language. The reading article has a comprehension exercise whereby pupils find 20 expressions in the text. There are also two writing questions. Pupils can use the prompt material in the reading article and the vocabulary from the word cloud to formulate their response to the written questions. Great for the topic of clothes and fashion.
Both resources are easy to print. They are destined for AS candidates but would stretch A and A* GCSE candidates.
These two resources help to consolidate vocabulary and build reading skills. The word cloud helps to revise vocabulary or indeed introduce key topic vocab. The reading exercises are based on an authentic reading article.

2 crosswords - clues in English answers in German assessing pupils' knowledge of analogue time. The solutions are provided for both. Great for plenaries, revision or vocabulary tests.
There is also a number puzzle where pupils unscramble phrases to write the correct time phrase in German.
Also included is a vocab test where pupils translate 8 times from German to English, and 3 times from English to German. The solution is provided.
This resource would be suitable for lower ability classes and is differentiated appropriately. The resource is easy to edit and is 2 A4 sheets. The first exercise requires learners to match the correct pronoun to the correct part of the auxiliary verb. The second exercise asks pupils to recall the three verb groups. The third exercise requires pupils to change infinitives into past participles. The second sheet of the worksheet requires pupils to match sentences in the past tense to the English translation, to use the correct auxiliary verb in context and finally there is an exercise whereby pupils decide if a sentence is in the past or the present tense.
10 sentences focusing mainly on the past tense and key holiday vocabulary. There is also a vocab find exercise of high frequency vocab. The resource is easy to print, mark and to edit. There is also a solution for the teacher to display on the whiteboard. An example of one of the sentences below.
An extension activity would be for pupils to use the account to write their own account of a holiday in the past tense.

Crossword of 24 qualifying countries - clues in English - solution provided. Easy to print.
Word search of 24 qualifying countries - 2 versions provided. In the first version Spanish is provided and pupils find the Spanish. In the second version pupils need to translate from English to Spanish first before finding the Spanish.
Fun revision of European countries and great end of term activity. This is suitable for classwork, homework or indeed cover work.
Table whereby students demonstrate understanding of 5 key tenses; present, imperfect, past, future and conditional. 9 key verbs are used; aller, avoir, etre, faire, pouvoir, prendre, acheter, finir and vendre. Pupils match the French to the English. The resource is easy to print and to edit. The solution is provided for the teacher to display on the board and a full verb table to reinforce these 5 tenses and 9 verbs.
This resource can be used as a starter or plenary. Alternatively this is extremely effective revision or homework.

The advantages are numerous. The teacher presentation (PowerPoint) is accompanied by a 20 page student workbook (PDF).
All exercises come with solutions on the teacher presentation, these are easy to correct and students can quickly assess areas for improvement and key strengths. The exercises may also be used as starters or plenaries to support your existing schemes of work. The templates I have used are easy for you to edit for your own purpose.
