Due to COVID the way we teach has altered somewhat. These days I find it easier to have my examples preprinted with students filling in the gaps between examples in class with the aid of the teacher at the front. A workbook is then provided which allows the student to answer directly in the book. Furthermore at home students can access a video example or two with the QR code on the front of the workbook (just in case they are struggling at home) Answers are provided and also answers to the examples

Angles associated with Parallel lines

This Lesson consists of a PowerPoint which, through worked examples, teaches students about Corresponding and Alternate angles. Following the PowerPoint there are questions which the students can attempt as a piece of classwork or homework. Answers are also provided. The lesson now has an alternative way for delivery. Since COVID I have placed the poerpoint onto two two-sided lessons so that students can just complete the examples with the aid of the teacher. This saves time in copying material from the board and helps towards catch-up. Also the Worksheets can now be printed in booklet form so that students can easily submit their answers. All aimed at giving you choice when delivering the lesson.

These revision cards are designed for both higher level and foundation level for KS4 GCSE mathematics grades 9 to 1. Each card has a topic explanation and a QR code which takes the students to a video related to that topic. Ideal for any student revising for Mathematics at home or in the classroom. Personally I have each slide printed and on the wall as a group of four. additionally I have printed them out and cut them into individual cards placed in an envelope for students to use at home whilst revising.

Clearly I have listed which topics are tested and students are given this list in advance so that they can revise the highlighted topics. More tests will follow as I prepare them and then bundles will become available.

This powerpoint can be used over two or three lessons as revision for removal of one bracket, two brackets and three brackets. Also it can be used to revise factorising through the use of one bracket, two brackets. Each section consists of two or three worked examples followed by several questions for the students to answer. I get the students to copy down the worked examples as we work through them and then they are left to attempt the given questions before we run through the solutions at the board. All answers are given.

This lesson I usually teach to the younger students. I prefer to drawn horizontal bar charts as the labelling is much easier to represent. However there are examples of vertical bar charts in the powerpoint and worksheet. One of the slides is designed to carry out a tally chart in class. Once the tally has been collected you can place the information into the next slide and a horizontal bar chart for the live data will be presented.

Mathematics Games to play close to Easter. A series of Mathematics games that can be played in the classroom or even placed around the school play ground for break and lunchtime activities. Each game consists of twelve questions written onto twelve pictured easter eggs. The idea is that the students know the starting card but initially have no idea of the last card. The aim of the game is to answer the questions in the correct order thereby revealing a code. The student can then submit the correct code to the teacher and maybe receive a reward of some kind! The games consist of : Addition Addition & Subtraction Multiplication Long Multiplication Fractions of a quantity Percentages of a quantity Solving algebraic equations
