The Text message between Elizabeth I and Phillip II could be changed to ANY TWO people in History and be set as a task to complete. The DOC file is editable. There are also four blank versions with 4, 8, 8 with background and 9 text message bubbles to an A4 Page for you to edit or print using the DOC or PDF Files. Each page contains a cube to be cut out and glued together so that a student may roll the cube and give information relevant to the side it lands up on. These cubes will help with revision and can be used in a simple game with a cube for each person or table. They can roll their own or respond to another person’s cube. They are based on the Edexcel Unit framework but the key terms, events and people noted on the cubes can be used for another exam board. The blank versions are attached so that you and your students can create more of your own for this topic or others

Resources here for two lessons - Can be one if you have covered Roman Numerals already. Then you can focus on the Extended Tasks. Lesson works as an introduction into Roman Numerals and evolves into how they permeate our lives. This then feeds into the extended tasks and sees how the legacy list connects to now. Mind maps can be used in both lessons.

This lesson serves as an introduction to the Jacobites and how symbolism is used by them to export their message of rebellion. The main task is to understand and create a symbol for Jacobite. usage or you could insert Jacobite images and have student analyse the imagery for the symbolism they have just uncovered. There are info and activity sheets for them to complete. I gained a round of applause from a class after getting the bulk of this done in an interview lesson that lasted 30 minutes. The students continued to work on it after I left! There is enough here for TWO lessons if you have not covered symbolism or any aspect of the Jacobites before.
