A key aspect students struggle with is how to annotate their sketchbook pages, whether it is an artist image or their own work. Hi everyone This is one of my favorite and most successful Year 9 projects. This powerpoint has 80 slides and is based on the topic “Food” Students will be given a design brief to create a food inspired desert poster for a food company of their choice. They will be given the opportunity to research their chosen company, then they will decide on their chosen cake/desert item. This could be cupcakes, donuts, ice cream etc. They will explore drawing their chosen item in different styles: Realism, expressively and in a vintage style. They will explore 2 different artists: Realism and expressionism. Once they have developed these skills they will plan their final poster ideas. They will have the choice to make it digitally or draw and add chosen media. This full project can be used for Year 9, GCSE or AS students and is is a scheme of work which will last 1-2 terms.
