Bedford Primary School

Bedford Primary School, based in Bootle, Merseyside, teaches boys and girls between the ages of four and 11. It has approximately 397 students enrolled. This average-sized primary school is about three miles north of Liverpool city centre. 

The community school has the Basic Skills Quality Mark and Espresso Education Ambassador School status. It is also a silver champion of the Pearson Bug Club.

The school believes no child should be deprived of an education, therefore teaching staff strive to help every pupil achieve their potential. 

Bedford Primary aims to make the pupils feel valued within the community, encouraging their moral, personal and social development. Children also celebrate the achievements of their peers at the school.

“Standards of pupils’ writing are improving across all year groups because of your increased focus on the subject. There has been much support for early years so that pupils get a good start to writing. Teachers celebrate the efforts of pupils widely across the school in many colourful displays that often show children’s work in a variety of subjects. Relationships between all members of the school community are strong. Consequently, the school is a calm and orderly place of learning.”
