About Bishop Challoner Catholic School
Bishop Challoner is a successful multicultural federation in the heart of the East End of London. We have approximately 1,450 students with a rich multicultural make-up – over 70 mother tongues in the school – reflecting the ethnic diversity of the local community. Currently recognised in the top 100 most improved schools, Bishop Challoner Girls' School was proudly rated Outstanding in April 2014. As Britain's first federated school, our campus embraces a Boys' School and Girls' School with a co-ed Sixth Form.
Since its federation, Bishop Challoner has continually been successful in achieving exceptional levels of excellence both inside and outside the classroom, which has meant fine exam results and an enviable range of extracurricular activities, reflecting the energy and enthusiasm of staff and students. Described as “one of our boroughs gems”, we are at an exciting stage of our journey.
The wealth of knowledge, commitment and expertise that is the current hallmark of this community is also its on-going strength. You will be joining a friendly and professional federation that is wholly committed to securing the best academic and personal development outcomes for young people.
