Vision and values

Catholic principles play a role in the education of pupils at Oakwood School. The spiritual development of the children is considered to be of paramount importance, alongside rigorous academic standards. Pupils are taught to understand the value of respect and virtue. A tutorial system ensures that the educational needs of each individual child are properly understood and catered for.

ISI report

“Oakwood School is highly successful in its aim to provide an all-round education. The provision is resonantly consistent with its aim and philosophy that parents should be at the heart of their children’s education, and that the school should be of service to the family in trying to achieve this goal. Pupils’ experience is consistent with the school’s vision that true education is directed towards the formation of the human person.”
