Originally established as Hinckley Grammar School nearly 400 years ago, The Hinckley School is now a modern and aspirational learning community which retains the same commitment to placing students first and providing them with the highest quality education.

Recognised as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted in September 2023, The Hinckley School is an 11-18 provider proud to serve the town of Hinckley and the surrounding areas and is committed to providing outstanding learning and achievement for all. The sense of community and belonging at The Hinckley School is clear for all to see, with staff proud to nurture strong, supportive and professional relationships with students throughout their seven-year journey. As students’ progress to GCSE and then to A Level study, they experience high expectations and inspirational teaching, an extensive range of enriching activities beyond the classroom and a learning environment which fosters self-discipline and aspiration.

A bespoke character education programme centred around PRIDE: Perseverance, Respect, Independence, Discipline and Engagement, alongside high-quality pastoral care and excellent academic provision, not only ensures that students graduate from The Hinckley School having secured the destinations of their dreams, but also with the characteristics, strong moral purpose and self-belief to succeed on the modern global stage.

Our partnership with the highly regarded multi academy trust, The Futures Trust, has meant significant investment into school buildings and facilities, enabling us to create a much improved and truly outstanding learning environment for all. With ‘The Bridge’, a mini school just for new Year 7 students which provides an unrivalled transition experience from Primary to Secondary School, ‘The Gateway’; a bespoke Year 8 offer, dedicated Year Hubs, a refurbished Sixth Form and planning permission secured for a multi-million-pound STEAM new build, there has never been a more exciting time to join The Hinckley School.

The ability to work with Trust colleagues from other good and outstanding schools across the region has also meant a culture of collaboration, improvement and best practice. At all levels our staff benefit from support, mentorship, CPD and progression opportunities across the Trust family of 8 schools in Coventry, Warwickshire and Leicestershire. Staff development, workload and well-being is a high priority for all leaders within the school.
