At St Mary’s Catholic Voluntary Academy, we are looking for a warm and caring Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming school community. Your role will focus on supporting children in a nurturing way, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.

As a Teaching Assistant, your caring approach will be key in supporting children across various age groups and abilities. You’ll provide essential one-to-one support, work with small groups, and contribute to creating a positive classroom environment. Whether you're assisting children with significant Special Educational Needs (SEN) or offering emotional and behavioural support, your patience and understanding will be at the heart of everything you do.

St Mary's Catholic Voluntary Academy is a Primary school and is located in Grantham. We are an Ofsted-rated Good school.

We are part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, bringing together the 36 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Lincolnshire, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.

This is a temporary role starting from 28th October 2024 until 31st August 2025.

You will be working for 19 hours per week, term time only.

  • Provide personalised support to children, helping them feel safe, valued, and understood.
  • Work closely with teachers to create an encouraging learning environment where every child can flourish.
  • Offer emotional guidance and build strong relationships with students, ensuring their well-being is prioritised.
  • Work flexibly, adapting to the individual needs of children to promote their development and happiness.
