Job Description 

·        Dynamic and inspirational teacher of singing, working 1-2-1 with School and College students

·        To develop and improve the quality of vocal technique amongst students to ensure all students meet industry standards and expectations

·        To develop student understanding of repertoire

·        To collaborate and share good practice within the department

 

Personal Specification

·        Honours degree in singing, vocal, music or associated study, or extensive experience of vocal practice

·        A recognised singing qualification

·        Committee to vocal health development

·        Secure knowledge of vocal anatomy and vocal function

·        Ability to recognise issues with the voice

·        Industry experience

·        Accomplished pianist and sight reader (desirable)


The Role

This is a permanent position, part time and full time are both considered.

The Hammond is the North West’s leading provider of performing arts education and the UK’s oldest vocational dance school. Here at The Hammond, we are passionate about providing the best possible vocational training in dance, drama, acting and music, alongside an enriching academic curriculum. Our boarding pupils live offsite in Chester town centre, a short 10 minute journey from the main school site.

The successful candidate will be subject to employment checks, including DBS and reference checks and will be provided with safeguarding training.
