Ashton Sixth Form College is privileged to have wide and extensive student support system designed to help young people overcome any challenges they may face during their time at college. The service includes our tutorial programme, Inclusive Learning, our Bursary and Attendance Officer as well as our counselling service and health and wellbeing offer. We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, enthusiastic Administrative Assistant with a flare and passion for working with young people towards improving themselves. The post holder will liaise closely with Senior Tutor Managers, Senior Tutors and Teachers in order to support and inspire students to achieve their full potential. One such support mechanisms is our Study Plus system, which provides an opportunity for students to conduct independent work in a designated area with a Senior Tutor and Administrative Assistant available for supervision. Teachers and Senior Tutors may refer students to Study Plus for additional support in order to catch up on work, tests, or any other study-related tasks. The post holder will play a significant role in coordinating these support sessions as well as other duties as described in in the job description. Ashton Sixth Form College is the founding organisation of Stamford Park Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust established in February 2019. All members of staff at Ashton Sixth Form College are employed by Stamford Park Trust.
The College is in the top 10% in the country for student progress on vocational courses and the top 25% in the country for A Level value added. The college achieved an "Outstanding" rating in its last Ofsted inspection in January 2020. The college has been recognised as one of the top ten Sixth Form Colleges in the north-west and is a major provider of quality academic and vocational post 16 education.

Ashton Sixth Form College is the leading provider of 16-18 education in the area. The college is located in Tameside, Greater Manchester and supports around 2,000+ students on A-Level and vocational programmes. The college also offers a number of Adult and Higher Education courses.
