Job overview

We are now looking to recruit an efficient and organised administrator to join our staff team and provide a high quality and efficient service that contributes towards effective learning across the Colleges. You should be able to demonstrate a flexible and customer focused approach, work well within a team, have a personable and friendly manner and a tactful and diplomatic disposition to deal with confidential issues sensitively. 

Hours of work - 35 hours per week x 39 weeks per year.

Salary calculated in line with NJC Grade C pay scale, points 5 – 7 (£24,790 - £25,584 FTE)

Actual salary £20,222 - £20,870 pro rata

Main duties and responsibilities  

●       Adhere to the School’s rigorous procedures for recording, monitoring, analysing and acting upon a range of data including student attendance, referrals, academic and SEN records from all subject areas.

●       To disseminate information to teams, such as detentions lists

●       To complete first day calling for absent pupils, and receive calls from parents on the absence line

●       To enter attendance codes into the MIS

●       To collect and collate assessment information in preparation for reports and parents’ evenings.

●       To provide administrative duties in the school office, including reception.

●       To analyse data and produce reports for various departments

●       Take phone calls as required and refer to relevant person

●       Provide typing service as necessary with accurately typed information

●       Provide administrative support as appropriate which will include preparing statements, profiles and additional reports.

●       Input, retrieve and analyse information using the MIS systems.

●       Ensure that confidentiality is observed at all times and abide by the data protection act.

●       Ensure the safe disposal of confidential waste.

●       Prioritise your workload to ensure the completion of work to specific deadline
