Salary 32 hours/38 weeks: Support Scale 5, £26,850 - £29,134 (pro rata £20,800 - £22,570) per annum inclusive of Outer London Weighting
Proven ability to manage and support a caseload of students with learning support needs. Experience of drawing up an agreed support plan with SMART targets to meet appropriate criteria and remove barriers to learning. Understanding of the 19+ funding is desirable.
The posts are dedicated to providing support for students who are 19+ exclusively. Therefore, as the courses are often delivered outside core hours, support will be required on Saturdays and evenings during term time.
Minimum qual - i.e. relevant L3 qualification or equivalent is essential together with strong IT skills and GCSEs at grades A-C in English & Maths (or equivalent). Working knowledge of SEND legislation and how it applies to students in a college environment. Understanding of student engagement strategies, initial assessment processes and the barriers to learning.
