Aspire is an Alternative Provision Academy that serves vulnerable students within Hull and the East Riding. The academy has been purposely designed to meet the needs of students with an innovative approach to teaching and learning to ensure that the learning experience for students is one that ensures progress. We are amongst the largest APs in the country and in the top 1% for outcomes for students.

We currently support and educate nearly 300 students and see the development of the whole child as our core purpose. Since opening in 2014, Aspire has expanded rapidly and strongly. We support and work with over 25 secondary schools across 5 Local Authorities.

In our most recent inspection, Leadership and Management was judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted. Whilst we believe in supporting students to achieve their full potential, we also have the same belief for all our staff.

We aim for all students to leave school with the tools to be a successful, positive contributor to society, irrespective of their starting point when joining us. We accept our students may have faced many challenges to the point they join us and may continue to face challenges in their everyday lives. However, we are committed to supporting students in overcoming their barriers to learning and helping them to develop towards being valuable members of their community Post-16.

Aspire Academy achieves this by providing a varied education enabling them to leave equipped with the right qualifications, developed personal attributes and a good understanding of their community and how they impact on it. At Aspire we believe those students with challenges and barriers to learning should have the same educational opportunities as all other students in the country. This includes access to resources, high quality teaching, educational trips and visits and a wider learning outside the classroom.

We see ourselves as being at the cutting edge of educational provision and individual development.
