If you are a leader, with the vision to drive the strategic direction and development of the academy’s student attainment and achievement, this role offers an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in the further development of Trinity Academy Grammar.  Rated the 2nd highest achieving secondary school in Calderdale in the 2024 Performance Tables, we are well on our way to providing an Outstanding provision for all of our learners.

Trinity Academy Grammar has had a plethora of successes.  In February 2023 Ofsted graded the academy as good with outstanding features in leadership and personal development.  This followed being awarded the World Class School mark in 2021.  These transformational changes mean that it is an exciting time to join the academy, we are incredibly proud of our successes, and we are looking for the best people to work alongside our already committed team to continue our journey.

We are seeking to appoint a talented individual to join us as an Associate Assistant Principal with responsibility for SEND.  Trinity Academy Grammar is an inclusive academy where every student is known, valued, understood and has the opportunity to shine.  

This role is suitable for a fully qualified SENCO and involves overseeing SEND provision across the academy, ensuring students with SEND reach their full potential.  You will be passionate about ensuring equality of opportunity for any child with SEND, removing any barriers to progress and wellbeing and ensuring that all students have the support to achieve their dreams.

The Trinity MAT were first approached to work with the then Sowerby Bridge High School, when it had been graded as inadequate by Ofsted and had been ranked in the bottom 15% of all schools nationally.

After joining the MAT in 2018 the progress made has been outstanding. The academy has improved its Progress 8 outcome by 0.92 and the performance puts us comfortably in the top 1% of most improved schools in the country.

In September 2021 we will be adopting the new name of Trinity Academy Grammar to better communicate our identity, high standards and aspirations for our students. We have chosen a name which truly reflects our grammar school heritage, and to better showcase our core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility, as we continue to build on this legacy through our outstanding achievements and passion to help our students reach their full potential.
