Working Arrangement: Term Time plus 2 weeks 8.30am-4.30pm

Hours: 35 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Attendance and Welfare Officer to take on a key role within the pastoral and safeguarding team at Mulberry UTC.

 The successful candidate will have:

• successful previous experience in a similar role or with appropriate background

• excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• an ability to relate well to young people and adults, and to work constructively as part of a diverse team

• an understanding of relevant legislation relating to safeguarding and child protection.

• commitment to forming positive relationships with young people and adults in a school environment

• the ability to work successfully in a busy school environment

Mulberry UTC is a school for boys and girls aged 14-19 which opened in Bow, east London in September 2017. It is part of the Mulberry Schools Trust, along with Mulberry School for Girls and Mulberry Academy Shoreditch. Our vision is to provide young people with outstanding academic, technical and vocational learning, so that they are well-prepared to succeed in their chosen future careers.
