Outwood Academy Easingwold requires an Attendance Assistant to provide administrative support to promote whole-school attendance strategies to fulfil our responsibility in the improvement and sustainability of attendance in our academy. Owing to the nature of the role, an ability to relate to the academy’s students and their parents/carers in a positive and proactive way is crucial.

To be successful in this rewarding role, you will need to be extremely well organised, have the ability to prioritise work and ensure that strict deadlines are met. The ability to work on your own initiative and work within existing teams is essential. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and be able to remain calm in a busy environment whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Strong IT skills and practical experience of using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, are essential for this role. Experience within a school attendance role is advantageous but not essential.

Playing an active role in our local community is important to us and we regularly work with community members of a range of projects. Our sports hall and 3G sports pitch is also available for hire, giving the local community access to state of the art sporting facilities.

We have won numerous awards as a school and we have been accredited with the prestigious IQM Award, which highlights that inclusion at all levels is of paramount importance to us. We are also proud to have been awarded Silver Status by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health Award.

Our success led to us appearing in the Sunday Times School Guide 2020, where we ranked as the 14th best school in the North and the 235th best school overall in the country.
