John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives and the world. As a partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking to appoint an Attendance Intervention Officer to join our evolving organisation.
Do you want an opportunity to make a real difference to students and families within a local community? Achieving good attendance at school is important for academic performance, social skills, good mental health and future opportunities. We want all our students to secure the best outcomes they can as they take their next step in school and beyond. This role provides the successful candidate with chance to influence those outcomes.
This role is key to ensuring any barriers to attendance are identified and addressed, supporting students and families to achieve high levels of attendance at school. Informed by your analysis of data, you will be working alongside students and vulnerable families, implementing support and early intervention strategies, as well as undertaking robust monitoring. As well as advising colleagues on attendance legislation, you will also engage with external stakeholders via meetings and statutory processes.
Bringing at least two years’ experience in attendance, education welfare or social work, you will have knowledge of statutory attendance procedures and have the personal skills to work in challenging situations and with multiple stakeholders. If you have a passion for excellence and share our vision, we can offer you the opportunity to be part of a successful and progressive Trust, which is committed to ensuring learning is at the heart of all we do.
If you want to discuss this role, please contact Mrs J. Russell, Assistant Headteacher by telephone on 01543 227320.
Completed application forms should be emailed to recruitment@kingsmeadschool.net
