Job overview
We are looking for an Attendance Officer to monitor and improve student attendance and punctuality at Brinsworth Academy.
As part of our Pastoral team, you will work with staff, parents and carers to identify and support students whose education is at risk due to poor or declining attendance. You will help families to improve their children's access to learning and enable all young people to maximise their educational opportunities, especially students in vulnerable groups that may need additional support.
You will be a highly motivated and dynamic individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, who possesses an organised and calm approach, with excellent attention to detail. You will also have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel. Previous experience of working in a school or other education environment is essential, along with previous experience of dealing with sensitive issues.
