Your Role as a Science Teacher

At Newton Lagoon, no two days are the same! As a Science Teacher, you will:

• Deliver exciting Chemistry and/or Biology lessons to pupils in Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Spark curiosity and encourage critical thinking with hands-on experiments and engaging teaching methods.
• Guide pupils to success in IGCSE and AS examinations.
• Mentor pupils and help them unlock their potential in and out of the classroom.
• Collaborate with a forward-thinking team to enhance our Science curriculum.
• Create an inspiring, inclusive, and safe classroom environment where every pupil thrives.

What You Bring to the Table

We’re looking for educators who:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Possess a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Have proven experience teaching Chemistry and/or Biology at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Are well-versed in the British National Curriculum.
• Excel at classroom management and know how to spark pupil engagement.
• Are committed to ongoing professional development and thrive in collaborative settings.
• Communicate effectively and inspire confidence in pupils, parents, and colleagues.
