This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the School’s Pastoral team. We are seeking an outstanding behaviour support worker, who has the drive and ambition to assist with the management of the behaviour and welfare of students on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be a key member of the School’s excellent pastoral team, working with staff and students and taking responsibility for assisting with the planning and delivery of provision for these students. All members of the team are committed to ensuring the academic, personal and social development of our students, maintaining high standards of behaviour and celebrating success. You must be able to relate to young people and their parents/carers, and have the ability to liaise with teachers and other professionals. You will need energy, patience, a sense of humour, a strong character and be committed to lifelong learning. Good communication skills are essential.

Oaklands is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in East London. It is a community state school as well as a NSS (National Support School] that provides support to other schools. A smaller than average secondary school, it will provide 850 places for secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 11-18, when fully subscribed.

With over 20 years’ worth of educational success, Oaklands has been a specialist school for science since 2003 and became a specialist modern foreign language school in 2008.
