The Role

The Chef Manager will lead and manage the school’s in-house catering team, comprising a second Chef and a team of assistants. They will oversee the provision of excellent food and service for breakfasts and lunches and will also lead any additional catering services required, e.g at parents evenings. The Chef Manager will grow and develop the professional capabilities of their team and contribute to wider school life through running cooking clubs and similar co-curricular provision.

The Person

We are seeking a passionate and highly-skilled chef with integrity, approachability and uncompromisingly high standards. They must be a ‘people person’, with the ability to lead a team with passion and charisma, as well as the overriding mission to serve the school’s pupils and families to the best of their abilities. They will be aligned to the overall vision of the school and its strategic aims, core values and culture of collegiality and community.

What you can Expect

In return, we offer the successful postholder:

  • the chance to work with the most engaged, enthusiastic and friendly pupils you are ever likely to find
  • a warm and welcoming group of colleagues
