1.School Profile

Founded in 2021, Shenzhen Hong Kong Pui Kiu College Longhua Xinyi School (hereinafter referred to as PKXYS) is jointly operated by the Hong Kong Xinyi Group and Pui Kiu Education Foundation. As the first internationalized boarding school in China with both the national compulsory education curriculum and the Hong Kong curriculum, PKXYS is also the first school in Mainland offering a 15-year continuous education program for Hong Kong students. PKXYS is located on the northwest side of the Shenzhen North Station hub in Longhua District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, covering a total area of approximately 45,000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 180,000 square meters.

PKXYS introduces an array of curricula, covering both the Mainland Middle School Curriculum and the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE), as well as international curricula such as IGCSE, GCEAL and NCUK IFY (International Foundation Year). PKXYS is the first school undergoing External School Review coordinated by the Hong Kong Education Bureau and conducted by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications. The review report confirms that PKXYS is with an operational model equivalent to Hong Kong subsidized or directly-funded schools. Furthermore, PKXYS has been officially certified by Cambridge Assessment International and Pearson Edexcel, becoming an A Level international curriculum school authorized by both institutions (with global codes CX221 and 95430). Also, PKXYS has also passed NCUK's review, becoming an authorized unit for IFY program.

Our campus is adjacent to Shenzhenbei Railway Station (Shenzhen High Speed Rail Terminus) and Shenzhen Metro Line 4. It only takes 19 minutes and 21 minutes to reach Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and Futian Port respectively. Travelling between the downtown of Hong Kong, the northern part of the New Territories and our school is convenient.

2. Positions Available

We are currently recruiting teachers for Chemistry subject of IGCSE/A-Level/IFY/HKDSE courses.

3. Job description

• Teaching: Submitting semester plans, setting teaching targets and delivering all classes in English.
• Communicating: Participating in department meetings and staff meetings, conducting effective communication with colleagues, maintaining sound relationship with parents, and providing feedback on students' academic performance.
• Supporting: Participating in school management, publicizing, supervision, among others.

4. Qualifications

• Possess bachelor's or master's degree in related majors. Master's degree and recognized teacher's certificate holders will be preferred.
• Possess over five years' teaching experience in IGCSE, A-level, HKDSE, IFY or equivalent international curriculums; For those with a master's degree in education related majors, the minimum requirement for teaching experience is two years.
• The ability to contribute to integrated teaching across the curriculum.
• An understanding of UK/western higher education and the needs and requirements of international students. 
• Direct experience of further and higher education in an international context.
• Clean criminal background.

5. Skills

• Demonstrable cross-cultural awareness and understanding.
• A commitment to teamwork, to working flexibly and to seeking solutions to problems.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills including fluency in English. Numerate and articulate.
• Proven planning and organisational skills and an ability to take initiative within curriculum and policy objectives.
• The ability to set, review and mark formative and summative assessments in line with a published syllabus.
• A record of attention to detail, thoroughness and fairness.
