DBIS seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, qualified and successful Secondary School Chinese teacher who is willing to commit to working in a stimulating and dynamic international educational environment. This is an exciting time to join DBIS as the Secondary phase and languages department are expanding, offering opportunities for growth and development within the school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Chinese lessons to Secondary School students through engaging lessons in order to develop all students in developing their language skills.
To be considered, it is essential to have:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a full-time class teaching role;
- A bachelor's (or equivalent) degree in languages or a closely related field;
- A relevant postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS);
- Fluency in Chinese and English;
- Experience teaching languages (Chinese) to a high quality.
It is desirable to have:
- A master's or postgraduate qualification in a related subject;
- Experience in teaching Chinese as a First Language from KS3 to (I)GCSE;
- Experience working with students where Chinese is their first or second language.
All new teachers are offered two-year renewable contracts and a competitive compensation package, with a gratuity of 18.75%, an additional monthly cash allowance, remuneration of school fees for one child and full medical and dental insurance for the employee.
