We are a vibrant and inclusive school community with a strong Christian ethos, dedicated to nurturing the talents and potential of each student. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Choir Leader to join our team and lead our choirs, inspiring students through the power of music.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and a proven track record in leading choirs of different ages. This role involves developing our school choirs and has the potential to establish community choirs. The Choir Leader will be integral to our school’s cultural life, regularly leading after-school clubs, attending church services, and participating in concerts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop choirs for various age groups within the school and potentially the wider community.
- Conduct choir rehearsals and performances, ensuring a high standard of musical excellence.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
- Plan and deliver a diverse repertoire that engages and motivates students, including Christian worship and gospel music.
- Participate actively in school events, church services, and concerts, aligning musical activities with our Christian values.
Personal Requirements:
- Proven experience in leading choirs, with a focus on diverse age groups.
- Availability to lead an after-school club on the same day each week, compensated at £45 per 1-hour session, and attend church services and concerts (essential).
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility in music selection to inspire and encourage student participation.
- Commitment to embodying and promoting our school values and Christian ethos.
- Passionate about working with young people and supporting their development and potential.
