Job overview

Our new secondary SEMH nurture provision, Shortenills Abbey in Aylesbury, opened in April 2024 and currently offers 3 secondary SEMH Classes, with 8 students per class.

We have created this new school using the model of our existing SEMH provision in Chalfont St Giles, which opened in 2021 for students with EHCPs for social, emotional and/or mental health difficulties. Due to our success and increasing demand, we were proud to open our new site in Aylesbury which follows the model developed by our existing Shortenills provision.

We are looking for a teacher who will be able to help us further design and develop this provision, as well as teach in it. The role will involve teaching a designated class on 3 days per week and SENDCo duties on 2 days per week.

Full time work is available but we will consider significant part time and flexible arrangements.
