Horizon English School

Founded in 1989, Horizon English School is a vibrant, outstanding international primary school of over 1,000 little learners, representing more than 80 nationalities, following the National Curriculum of England.  We are an accredited member of BSME (British Schools in the Middle East).

At Horizon, pupils are encouraged to take ownership and responsibility for their own learning, steering it in the direction of their choice, with facilitation from teachers. From FS1 to Year 6, children are presented with opportunities and challenges and are consulted about their learning consistently and continuously throughout their school career. Our learning is exciting and innovative, and children’s interests are at the heart of everything we do.

As well as our academic success, Horizon offers a wide and varied range of extracurricular activities for the children to immerse themselves in.   Our PE staff encourage children in a host of sporting activities; our latest success being overall winners at the 2023 BSME Primary Games, a three day competition covering five sporting disciplines – a very proud moment for the whole school.

The Horizon English School vision promotes a real community ethos and we have close links with charities in Dubai, which staff, parents and children love to support and be part of.
