What we are looking for:


Applications are invited for the position of Classroom Teacher (Year 1/2) at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Barcaldine. This is a full-time position, commencing from July 2024 or as negotiated with the successful applicant.

About us


St Joseph’s School offers a strong family atmosphere. Children are educated in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy whose core values are mercy, compassion, justice, service and excellence. The school staff strive to keep alive the Mercy Sisters’ mission to educate the whole child – physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Students at St Joseph’s have excellent access to computers and iPads to enhance their learning. St Joseph’s students are involved in visits to the Willows Retirement Village and the Barcaldine Hospital. They also organise community events such as Daffodil Day, Day for Daniel and Pink Ribbon Day. Through this involvement, students learn about giving back to the community and the importance of displaying respect and good manners. They also develop their confidence and communication skills.


Mandatory Requirements 



  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
