Permanent position of 10 hrs per week - 2 hrs per day (Either 6.30AM- 8.30AM or 3.30PM and 5.30PM)

Term Time plus Inset days and one week of school holidays required

Grade 16 PT 2.0 Actual Salary £5,307 per annum

We are seeking enthusiastic, conscientious individuals who have great attention to detail and the ability to self-motivate and work well within a busy team.

The early mornings and early evenings offer you the ability to work around your family and has the additional benefit of school holidays and Monday to Friday hours. It also offers the opportunity to join a well-established team of professional school cleaners and help make a difference in keeping our school clean and tidy.

There is availability for either the morning, afternoon or both shifts. (please indicate your preference on the application form)

Candidates will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the Cleaning Team
  • Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner with minimal supervision
  • Ability to act on own initiative, dealing with unexpected issues when they arise and being able to problem solve effectively
  • The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a good practical aptitude, being able to carry out routine cleaning in all areas of the school including toilets and sports halls.
  • This post can be physically demanding where candidates need to be able to carry out the duties effectively and thoroughly, as part of a team.

About Wadham School

Wadham School is a mixed comprehensive, Church of England secondary school in the town of Crewkerne in South Somerset. It is a voluntary controlled state school under the Diocese of Bath and Wells.

In September 2022 the school increased in size with the addition of pupils from Years 7 and 8 as part of the local area reform. The school is now a thriving 11-18 secondary school with a Sixth Form.
