Our cover team plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards of education during staff absences, and we are committed to ensuring our students receive the best possible experience.

As a Cover Supervisor at Newhouse Academy, you will work closely with our current experienced Cover Supervisor and the Cover Manager to ensure smooth and effective classroom management where cover is required.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising classes and ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
  • Delivering pre-set lesson plans and adapting them as necessary.
  • Supporting student learning and promoting positive behaviour.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff and the Cover Manager to address any issues that arise.

If you’re ready to take on this rewarding challenge and contribute to the success of our students, we’d love to hear from you!

‘Doing the right thing for our people!’

In return, we offer:

  • Membership of the Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF)
  • Funded CPD for nationally recognised qualifications
  • An optional package of health benefits from Medicash
  • Free use of a brand new gym
  • Staff activities, including a Wellbeing Café
  • Free staff car parking

We openly encourage you to make an appointment to come in and have a look round. The Headteacher, Alex Burnham, is more than willing to meet you and talk through our journey and the vision for the future. Your visit would include a tour of the new school building which opened in September this year, housing Science, DT, Music, PE and Aspire our SEN area. If you would like to arrange a visit, please email Rebekah Duffy on recruitment@newhouseacademy.co.uk.
