The Park School, part of Weydon Multi Academy Trust, is a specialist school with 110 places for students aged 11-16 years old with moderate learning difficulties and additional needs.

The Park School matches high levels of ambition with nurture so that their students can flourish. They work in collaboration with families, therapy teams and other agencies to achieve the best outcomes for each young person within the school. Through a rich and personalised curriculum, they provide an excellent education for every learner. Students access a range of qualifications including GCSEs, BTEC, Entry Levels and ASDAN awards.

A passionate and talented teacher is required to lead Science within the school.

The position welcomes applicants from special education as well as those transitioning from either a primary or secondary mainstream background with a passion for working with students who have special educational needs.

The Park School is a mixed Special School for students aged 11 to 16 with EHCPs for Learning and Additional Needs, drawing students from a wide range of socio-economic groups and from a wide radius. We have the same expectations as a mainstream secondary school and offer a secondary curriculum model. Our focus is very much on outcomes at 16, aiming to equip our students with the best academic and social and emotional foundations for adulthood. The staff team are committed to providing a vibrant, supportive, and purposeful atmosphere within a safe environment in which all our students thrive. We offer a rich, creative, and personalised curriculum that meets individual needs, enabling students to fulfil their potential.

We are part of Weydon Multi Academy Trust, a dynamic, forward thinking and innovative Trust. We are currently seven schools - three special schools and four secondaries. There are regular opportunities for collaborative working, CPD and the sharing of expertise between staff across the schools.
