Job Title: Director of Learning for Art

Grade: MPS/UPS + assigned TLR 2B - £5,530 - 1 year fixed term post (maternity cover)

Responsible for: All Department staff and students

Reporting to: Assigned member of Senior Leadership Team

Our vision is to develop well rounded pupils who achieve great grades and have great character. 

This new role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a highly committed and enthusiastic team towards increased excellence. We are seeking a talented, innovative practitioner with a passion for both subjects who can elevate the highly successful subjects to the next level. The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject and will demonstrate a real commitment to igniting a similar passion in our students. 

Art and Design, as well as Textiles are both successful and popular subjects within the school, attracting a consistently high number of students at KS4 and KS5. The results that the department consistently receives are a testament to the dedication and hard work of the staff and students in the subject. The Art and Design department is well resourced with specialist facilities in Art or Textiles classrooms. 

The successful candidate will be asked to provide professional leadership and management of the subject areas to secure exceptional teaching and will be accountable for student outcomes and the improved progress of all students.

Interview: w/c Monday 07th October 

Start date - January 2025
