Elementary French Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced French Teacher to join our team at Vernus International School. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, supervising, and assessing assigned students according to their language development needs, delivering the French curriculum, and ensuring each student achieves academic success.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach and assess assigned students according to their language development needs in French.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the French curriculum, staying updated on current changes and modifications.
• Implement project-based learning approaches to enhance language acquisition.
• Prepare well-planned, engaging, and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Administer and mark formal assessments in accordance with curriculum guidelines.
• Encourage students to develop lifelong language learning skills.
• Manage student behavior in line with the school's policies.
• Maintain accurate records and data collection on the school's database.
• Participate in school events and support the school's ethos and principles.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in French education or a relevant field.
• Advanced computer knowledge, including proficiency in educational software and tools.
• Familiarity with language acquisition strategies and project-based learning approaches.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and the school community.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
