Job overview

Invigilators assist the Examinations Officer in the smooth and efficient administration of examinations, including preparation of rooms, pupil invigilation, distribution and collection of scripts and help create the best environment for students to achieve their full potential during their exams. Working as a team, invigilators contribute to ensuring a calm environment, giving students confidence in their exam performance.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Supervision of students
  • Security of examination papers/scripts, equipment and stationery
  • To attend paid training/review meetings each year

The successful candidate will:

  • remain composed under pressure and be able to conduct tasks accurately whilst paying attention to detail
  • have a good command of English and be able to deal with students in a firm but pleasant manner
  • be an adaptable and flexible team member who is discreet, calm and efficient with a sense of humour
  • be able to commit to as many sessions as possible - morning and/or afternoon - throughout all the examination periods, mocks and public exams

Nonsuch is a popular and very successful girls’ selective school standing in 22 acres of beautiful grounds on the edge of Nonsuch Park.
