Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education (Honors) with QTS or equivalent (e.g., PGCE/i, PGDE)
Main Job and Responsibilities:
- Ensure meticulous planning, assessments, and observations are conducted to the highest standards.
- Cultivate a stimulating and inspiring classroom, equipped with resources accessible to all children.
- Foster and maintain professional relationships within the school community.
- Provide informative written reports and engage in informal dialogues with parents regarding children's development, progress, and attainment.
- Collaborate with co-teachers and key stage educators to design a cohesive curriculum, prepare resources, and ensure consistent teaching practices.
- Work in tandem with others to maximize effectiveness, raise standards, and plan interventions for learner needs, ultimately improving pupil outcomes.
- Demonstrate a willingness to engage in extracurricular activities and potentially take on subject leadership roles.
- Act as a positive role model, showcasing enthusiasm for personal development and learning.
Skills/Abilities:
- Possess knowledge and a keen interest in understanding how children learn and applying this insight to create an engaging learning environment.
- Utilize teaching methods that capture pupils' interest, maintain engagement, and encourage a lifelong love of learning.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and class management skills to promote an effective learning environment.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Showcase experience or knowledge in planning lessons and activities for EAL learners.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team in implementing the school's curriculum, strategic plans, and policies.
- Display resilience and adaptability to work in a different cultural setting.
- Embrace cross-curricular, topic-based teaching approaches.
- Commit to continuous professional development and strive for continuous improvement.
- Uphold high standards of child safety and safeguarding, demonstrating responsibility at all times.
- Represent the school positively both inside and outside the classroom, upholding the high standards of respect inherent in Thai culture and international mindedness.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year's teaching experience.
- Fluent English speaker.
- Up-to-date DBS or police check equivalent to work with children.
- Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum is essential.
- Familiarity with the IPC curriculum is advantageous.
- Experience working in Early Years is a plus.
- Experience with EAL learners is beneficial.
- Familiarity with teaching the Read Write Inc. phonics program or alternatives is an advantage.
Contract type:
- 2-year contract (renewable).
- Competitive salary (paid in Thai Baht).
