We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head of Early Years / Nursery Manager to help lead our exceptional Nursery team. Could that be you?

The role of the Head of Early Years/Nursery Manager is to provide professional leadership and management of the nursery. To effectively manage the day-to-day running of the nursery and to deliver the highest standards of care and education.

About the Position

Contract type: Full-time, all year round, permanent

Working pattern: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: based on experience 

Start date: Immediate start available

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Promote and uphold high standards of quality within the nursery and EYFS setting, ensuring that the environment, resources, and experiences offered to our children are enriching, inclusive, and reflective of their needs and interests.
  • Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich, diverse, and stimulating experiences that are tailored to their age, stage of development, and individual interests, fostering their curiosity and love of learning.
  • Ensure that all practices and provisions in the nursery meet or exceed the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, with a focus on child-led, play-based learning that supports holistic development.


About You:


We are looking for someone who has:

  • A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • QTS ( advantageous )
  • At least 3 years’ experience of nursery management (desirable)
  • Paediatric first aid trained with an up-to-date certificate (desirable)
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS (new and old) and all associated requirements including the inspection framework and is able to adapt and implement changes as required.
