Embassy International School seeks an enthusiastic, hardworking and highly motivated and well-qualified Head of Humanities (History and Geography Teacher) to join our small, but growing, team from late August 2025. This person should be committed to teamwork and promoting the best pedagogical practice. 

Our school has approximately 250 pupils from EYFS to Year 13, single form entry all the way through. Our team of over 50 teachers is characterised by passion, enthusiasm, engagement and deep knowledge of every child and their learning history.

We have coherent approaches to positive behaviour development based upon our core values, which has brought us a very pleasant, warm and respectful working environment.

The role is to expand our Science team, specialising in History and Geography

Minimum qualifications:

-A certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent (PGCE/PGDE must be accompanied by a subject-relevant Bachelor’s Degree).

-Exceptional subject knowledge

-A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning

-Experience teaching in a UK-based curriculum

-Understanding and a history of practicing excellent child-centred teaching, individualised and based on each child’s needs

-Experience in teaching A level and GCSE (AQA)

-Experience of teaching KS3 History and Geography preferred

-Experience with leading the Common Practical Assessment Criteria documentation (CPAC) for exam classes
