We are seeking a talented and committed Head of Media Studies and Teacher of English to join our school. This role combines the leadership of Media Studies with the opportunity to teach both Media and English across all year groups. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about promoting social justice and can deliver exceptional outcomes in a mixed attainment classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Head of Media Studies: Leading the Media Studies department, including contributing to curriculum development, teaching and learning, and student progress.
  • Teacher of English: Inspiring students to excel in English through engaging lessons and ensuring outstanding student progress in a mixed attainment environment.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner, capable of building strong relationships with students and inspiring them to succeed.
  • Has the skills and subject knowledge to teach Media and English across all year groups and can contribute to the development of curriculum and pedagogy.
  • Is passionate about social justice and creating inclusive learning environments.
  • Is committed to ensuring outstanding progress for students over time, regardless of their starting point.
