The PE department at Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation (DCSF) is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Head of Academic PE. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified and driven individual to join our team in January 2025.

The successful candidate will lead the delivery of the Physical Education curriculum at GCSE and A Level, ensuring high academic standards and overseeing all associated administrative duties. You will manage the coursework and practical assessments, fostering student success and progression in both academic and sporting contexts.

We currently deliver the OCR specifications at GCSE and A Level but knowledge of any GCSE and A Level specification will be accepted. Knowledge of the Level 3 BTEC Sport courses would also be acceptable.

You will be a dedicated and engaging teacher with excellent organisational skills, capable of inspiring students at all levels of ability. The post is suitable for either an experienced teacher seeking a leadership role or a candidate ready to take the next step in their career.
