Job overview

Head Teacher

Salary: Up to £53,380 (L6)

Location: Coventry, CV2 4BF

Closing Date: Wednesday 17th July 2024

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a unique school - Summit is a small Dfe registered school for young people accessing mental health care at Cygnet Joyce Parker hospital. We aspire to provide a high quality education during admission, so that young people have the best chance of continuing their education after discharge. We work hard, but also benefit from the rewards of making such a huge difference.

We are looking for an individual who has the right character traits to thrive in a leadership role with us, and be the very best they can be. In particular we are interested to hear from people who are willing to learn and have a growth mindset, can think strategically and solve problems, have the ability to motivate and inspire others, and have a human approach to dealing with people.

Being able to demonstrate you have these qualities is just as important to us as having lots of experience. For this reason, the position may be suitable for people who may not have had the chance to lead at this level yet, but feel they have the right characteristics to succeed. You will relish the opportunity to benefit from targeted CPD, leadership coaching, and being able to learn from those around you.

Start date: 06th January 2025.

If you would like to discuss the role and/or arrange a visit, please contact our head of education, Ed Hall on edwardhall@cygnethealth.co.uk or 07860834648.
