Rugby School prides itself on having a forward thinking and dynamic sports department. Sport at Rugby School is at an all-time high and we are looking to complement our department with a Head Tennis Coach that shares our drive for sports provision.

 The role will involve:

• Delivering planned, challenging, progressive, safe and enjoyable tennis lessons to pupils.

• Scheduling weekly private tennis lessons and managing the lesson database.

• Updating pupils with information or changes.

• Supporting the Director of Racket Sports in the delivery of a Coach Education programme

• Coaching the tennis teams throughout the year within county and national competitions

• Support in Tennis scholarship recruitment and assessments

 We are looking for someone who:

• is enthusiastic and professional.

• has a positive and friendly personality.

• has exceptional communication and organisational skills.

• has good problem-solving skills.

• has a good understanding of the Rugby School Group values.

 The role is for a part-time member of staff who will work within the Sports department. They will immerse themselves in life at a busy boarding school sports department.

 The role will start in September 2024 and is 30 hours per week (Monday to Sunday) and is for 35 weeks of the year. Please read our Sports Department brief for full details of life in the sports department or contact sports@rugbyschool.net for an informal discussion regarding the role.
